GUITAR TIPS

SORE FINGERS
Sore fingertips - rub either ordinary spiritus or surgical spiritus on your fingertips a few times every day.  This will harden the skin on your fingertips.  Do not quit playing when your fingers are sore - keep going!  When your fingertips get harder, it forms a hard piece of skin - do not peel it off - that is the way it has to be to play painfree!

CHANGE CHORDS QUICKER
Now this is one thing most people find frustrating!  You want to play a song but find yourself stopping after every chord to change to the next.
I have a simple excercise that you can do to help your fingers to jump faster from one chord to the other.
Lets say you know D + A + G and you want to move quickly between these chords.  Start on example D, give yourself 3 counts, but before you get to 3 you have to be on example G.  Jump around between the 3 chords in no specific order until you can do it within 3 counts.  Now give your self 2 counts and later only 1 count. The ultimate goal - close your eyes and jump between the chords within 1 count!
